Environment and sustainability have become issues of public interest. Earth is our most important resource and today, more than ever, it needs to be protected. The circular economy and the green economy are rediscovering ancient noble vocations such as recycling and efficient use of natural resources; all behaviours whose production models are more effective thanks to the support of research, innovation and technology.
Nowadays, consumers choose and buy products not only in relation to the best ratio between quality/price but also on the basis of the reputation that manufacturers enjoy in relation to the production method adopted; purchases are now increasingly focused on products made through sustainable processes, with recycled, easily decomposable and non-polluting materials and companies have started to position themselves more and more as “ethically active subjects” who use raw materials and “green” production processes.
In order to gain the “leadership” status in one’s own sector or market, it is now obligatory to be able to create added value for the community: achieving sustainable, inclusive and stable growth has become indispensable both to meet the challenges and to cushion and reduce the negative effects caused by the increasingly marked climate emergency.
Here we describe 10 “green” entrepreneurial experiences that are committed to sustainability, companies led by visionaries and supported by employees capable not only of intelligently innovating all their processes, systems and products but also capable of stimulating the market to adopt behaviours and habits that are now necessary to guarantee a future for our planet and humanity itself.
